Job summary

As a Traffic Control Person (TCP), you will ensure the safety and flow of traffic in work zones by setting up traffic control zones, adjusting work zone equipment, and responding to emergencies and hazards. Where/When you will be working: Dispatchable region across Interior.

Available for a minimum of 3 consistent weekday (M-F). Occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Valid BC TCP certification issued by a regulatory body.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and responsiveness standards.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Willingness to work a minimum of 3 weekdays; occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic control zones and adjust work zone equipment.
• Gives traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely for motorists.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in incident investigations as required.
• Complete required documentation for due diligence and compliance with acts, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain PPE and safety gear per WorkSafeBC regulations.
