Job summary

The Universal Group is seeking a Traffic Control Person (TCP) to ensure safe traffic flow and protect workers at Vancouver Island worksites. You will set up zones, manage equipment, and respond to hazards, with duties including safety compliance, reporting, and PPE use.

Certifications and strong communication are required. We offer a signing bonus for experienced TCPs, comprehensive benefits after probation, and paid onboarding.

Qualifications

• Valid BC TCP Certification.
• Excellent communication and de‑escalation skills.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic control zones and adjust work zone equipment.
• Follow safety and regulatory requirements to protect workers and the public.
• Report safety matters and operational issues to dispatcher or supervisor.
• Wear required PPE and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Maintain BC TCP certification and participate in safety trainings.
