Job summary

The Universal Group is seeking a Traffic Control Person (TCP) to ensure safe and efficient flow in work zones across the Interior dispatchable region. You will set up zones, operate work zone equipment, and communicate directions clearly to motorists while maintaining BC TCP certification.

• Valid BC TCP Certification issued by a regulatory body.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills for public interactions.
• Commitment to quality, safety and responsiveness in work zones.

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic control zones and adjust work zone equipment.
• Give traffic control directions clearly so motorists understand.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in investigations as needed.
• Complete required documentation for compliance and due diligence.
• Wear required PPE and follow WorkSafeBC regulations.
