Job summary

The Citco Group Limited in Toronto, Canada, seeks an experienced AML/KYC professional to support daily deal settlement and client inquiries within Citco Bank’s trading and custody function. You will work with clients, funds and administrators to resolve AML/KYC queries and enhance process efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in a fast-paced environment, with experience in KYC/AML/Tax for alternative investments, and a solid understanding of financial markets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve incoming AML/KYC queries tied to active trade orders.
• Manage and resolve periodic KYC refreshes for positions held by Citco on behalf of its underlying clients.
• Manage and resolve incoming tax queries and requests for investment related tax documents.
• Build and develop new AML processes and workflows to improve deal efficiency.
• Work with clients to develop KYC/AML thresholds and approval workflows.
• Support the Trading team with ad hoc trading, deal settlement and client queries.
• Design bespoke service solutions and resolve macro issues to satisfy client needs.
• Cross sell bank products to existing and potential clients including Finance, Asset Servicing, and Treasury and FX services.

As a core member of our Trading and Custody team you will work closely with the Bank's clients, external funds and administrators and internal stakeholders to support daily deal settlement and improve overall efficiency in the KYC space.

About The Team & Business Line

Citco Bank provides fully integrated transaction, deposit, foreign exchange and credit facilities to our Fund Services and Governance Services clients. Operating in strategic global centers Citco Bank provides access to best-in-class process and technology.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• Manage and resolve incoming deal related AML/KYC queries tied to active trade orders
• Manage and resolve periodic KYC refreshes for positions held by Citco on behalf of its underlying clients
• Manage and resolve incoming tax queries and requests for investment related tax documents.
• Complete Nominee and AML letter testing requests recieved from external counterparties
• Build and develop new AML process and workflows to improve overall deal efficiency
• Work with Citco's clients to develop acceptable KYC/AML thresholds and approval workflows
• Support the Trading team with ad hoc trading, deal settlement and client queries.
• Work with internal stakeholders to improve access and availability to KYC and tax data
• Design bespoke service solutions and resolve macro issues to ensure client needs are satisfied
• Partner with internal project managers on the delivery of project plans
• Cross sell bank products from the various departments to existing and potential clients including Finance, Asset Servicing, and Treasury and FX services.
• Be actively involved in drafting Service Level Agreements with clients and coordinating with operations to ensure it is implemented
• Report important client issues weekly/monthly to Senior Management
• Facilitate the prompt resolution of complex client issues and highlight potential issue(s) to the client
• Develop and maintain strong Citco relationships within internal stakeholders

Qualifications

About You:

• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast, deadline-driven environment. Custody and Alternatives Trading experience or support is an asset.
• Experience with KYC/AML/Tax in the alternative investment space.
• Must have completed a post-secondary degree in a related field (Business, Finance, etc.)
• Solid understanding of Financial Markets/Hedge Fund Business

Salary Range:

CAD 95,000 - CAD 115,000
