Job summary

Remote People Ltd. conducts a confidential search for a Trademark Agent to manage a growing portfolio of trademark prosecution and related work for Canadian and international clients.

You will prepare and prosecute filings before CIPO and foreign offices, advise on clearance and strategy, respond to office actions, and coordinate with foreign associates. A Canadian Trademark Agent registration or active pursuit is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Canadian Trademark Agent or pursuing registration.
• 3+ years of trademark prosecution and portfolio management experience.
• Strong writing and client communication skills.
• Detail oriented with solid docketing and deadline management habits.
• Madrid Protocol filings experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute trademark applications before CIPO and internationally.
• Advise clients on clearance, portfolio strategy, and enforcement.
• Respond to office actions and manage oppositions.
• Liaise with foreign associates on international filings.
• Support senior lawyers on IP litigation and licensing matters as needed.
