Empower Simcoe is hiring a permanent part-time Direct Support Worker to provide overnight support in Orillia group homes. Duties include assisting with personal care, meals, finances, and community activities, with a focus on dignity and independence.

Applicants must hold a Developmental Service Worker diploma or equivalent and be able to work weekends and holidays; a valid G license is an asset. Location is Orillia, BC-based schedule from 8pm–8am.

Qualifications

• Developmental Service Worker diploma or acceptable educational equivalency (e.g. Child and Youth Worker, ECE, SSW, Nursing, PSW).
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• A valid class G driver's license and own reliable transportation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities within group homes.
• Assist with overnight shifts, personal care, and household duties.
• Assist with meal preparation and finances; accompany to appointments or events to foster community connections.

Compensation Package:These positions will be assigned to our Permanent Asleep Night line working 7 shifts (up to 63 hours) bi-weekly between the hours of 8pm-8am.
