Job summary

Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to contribute to a supportive, play-based learning environment for children aged 2.5–5 years. DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES

• Demonstrates a commitment to the principles of the BC Early Learning Framework, supporting children’s well-being, belonging, and engagement
• Builds responsive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Uses pedagogical documentation and an observation, documentation, and reflection approach to inform practice and support children’s learning
• Co-creates emergent, play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and inquiries
• Supports inclusive, culturally responsive environments that honour diversity and Indigenous perspectives

Basic ECE

• Current BC ECE License to Practice Certificate
• Current First Aid Certification
• Clear criminal record check

• Minimum one (1) year experience of working with children aged 2.5-5 years
• Able to work Monday to Friday for a minimum of 4 hours/day and up to 7.5 hours as needed (staff coverage and ratio)
