Job summary

Recruiting Room Ltd is searching for an experienced On-Call Tow Truck Driver to join our client's team in St. Catharines. You will be responsible for safely towing and transporting vehicles while providing professional customer service.

Location: St. Catharines, Ontario

We are looking for an experienced and reliable On-CallTow Truck Driverto join our client's team in St. Catharines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely towing, transporting and recovering vehicles while providing professional customer service.

We are looking for someone who issafety-focused, dependable and comfortable working with customers who may be dealing with a stressful accident or breakdown.

What You'll Do
  • Tow and transport vehicles safely using company-provided equipment
  • Respond to accident scenes, breakdowns and customer calls
  • Operate flatbed and/or wheel-lift tow trucks
  • Load and secure vehicles using proper straps, chains and safety equipment
  • Transport vehicles without causing additional damage
  • Complete tow slips, condition reports and required digital records
  • Communicate professionally with customers, collision centre staff, insurers and other partners
  • Follow Ontario towing regulations, traffic laws and company safety procedures
  • Perform daily inspections of your tow truck and equipment
  • Complete basic vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Keep the tow truck and equipment clean and organized
  • Work with the collision repair team to ensure vehicles are picked up and delivered on time
What We're Looking For
  • Valid Ontario Tow Truck Operator Licence
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum1-2 years of professional towing experience
  • Experience operatingflatbed and/or wheel-lift tow trucks
  • Willing to work on an on-call basis (hours are negotiable, rate is negotiable)
  • Good understanding of vehicle loading and securement procedures
  • Strong commitment to safe vehicle transportation
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to remain calm and professional at accident scenes and during stressful situations
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to work independently
  • Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
  • Physically able to perform the duties of the position
