Job summary

Direct IT Recruiting Inc. in Toronto seeks a senior software developer for a 12-month contract with a strong extension potential. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the team’s trading and data analytics solutions, and migrating to Azure and Snowflake data platforms.

You will report to a Senior Manager, Solution & Quality Engineering and collaborate with investment professionals to advance production-grade software and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software design/development experience in Capital Markets.
• 5+ years of full-time application development in Capital Markets.
• Experience with systematic investment and trading strategies.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve trading and data analytics solutions and infrastructure.
• Migrate desks to CMIA Analytics platform and expand into new asset classes.
• Contribute to Azure cloud and Snowflake data migrations.
• Develop software and data engineering best practices and standards.
