Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a BI Engineer to join a leading bank in Toronto on a 12-month contract. You will design, develop, and deliver BI reporting and analytics using the Enterprise Data Warehouse, SQL Server, and Power BI, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include supporting scheduled reporting, production support, performance improvements, and maintaining data quality.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a BI Engineer driving continuous improvement in reporting performance and data quality.
Advanced understanding of reporting and data analysis tools including Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS/SSAS, Excel PowerPivot, Power BI, Power Query.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (or JIRA) and ITSM tools.
Strong proficiency with SQL Server database objects and query optimization.
Experience supporting BAU reporting operations, including scheduled reporting and production support.
Experience performing data validation and troubleshooting reporting issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver BI reporting and analytics solutions using the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Information Management, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
Provide production support and orchestrated reporting outputs on a regular schedule.
Drive continuous improvements in reporting quality, performance, and maintainability.
