Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Tools Product Development Manager to serve as the single point of contact for Tools & Industrial products for our internal sales team. You will be a subject matter expert, delivering consultative selling, training for internal customers, and project support for new and existing product lines.

You will educate other business units on Tools & Industrial Solutions products and applications, develop training, and collaborate with account managers to tailor solutions for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 7+ years of solutions sell experience in the industrial sector.
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications and their use in rental markets.
• Driver’s license with safe driving record and ability to travel 80% within territory.
• Strategic selling, advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and research skills.
• Ability to assess, quote and secure large projects via solution-based selling.
• Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Target development of tools market share for Tools & Industrial division within districts or geography.
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Government/National Account Managers and local Sales Reps to provide custom Solutions and knowledge.
• accompany Sales Reps as SME on complex calls, advising on cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and deliver Tools & Industrial Solutions training to raise awareness and drive growth.
• Partner with corporate sales/BI to provide leads via SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other info tools.
• Perform other duties as needed.
