Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Tools Product Development Manager to act as a single point of contact for Tools & Industrial products, supporting our internal sales team with consultative selling and training. You will educate other business units on Tools & Industrial Solutions and provide sales project support for new and existing product lines.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in solutions selling, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Firm working knowledge of Tools & Industrial Solutions products/applications and how they are used in the rental market.
• Strong consultative selling and advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
• Current valid driver's license with a safe driving record and the ability to travel 80% of the time within assigned territory.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools market share for Tools & Industrial division in assigned districts.
• Partner with Account Managers to provide custom Tools & Industrial Solutions, services and knowledge.
• Join Sales Representatives on complex calls as subject matter expert to select cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and conduct Tools & Industrial Solutions training to drive growth and market share.
• Collaborate with corporate Sales/Business Intelligence to provide leads using SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other information tools.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
