Job summary

Alstom in Saint-Bruno, QC, Canada, invites applications for a Special Tools & Bench Test Equipment Engineer. You will handle tool and diagnostic equipment from design to delivery, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and timely submissions.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, Catia V5 drawing capability, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and fluency in French and English. Railway knowledge is a plus and leadership is valued.

Qualifications

• Autonomous and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership capabilities in engineering projects.
• Bilingual French/English required; third language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the Customer technical specification to extract tool and diagnostic equipment requirements.
• Evaluate the Suppliers' technical proposals.
• Analyze technical packages from Suppliers and approve technical documents (drawings and descriptions).
• Participate in design reviews with Suppliers and Customer.
• Follow up on equipment delivery and installation/commissioning at Customer sites.
• Approve test procedures to validate equipment; attend qualification tests at Suppliers.
• Design of Maintenance Diagnostic Equipment.
• Undertake other relevant duties related to its functions.
