Alstom in Saint-Bruno, Canada is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer for the Interiors Development Center (CDS). You will develop interiors components and sub-assemblies for railway applications, from tender to first mounting, using CATIA V5 and DMA, with emphasis on weight, acoustics and eco-design.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3 years of design experience in rail or related industries, strong CATIA V5 and MS Office skills, and the ability to work in an international,

Formación

• Mechanical Engineer or equivalent with a degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience in mechanical parts, preferably in railway/automotive/bus industries.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and Excel; experience with MS Office.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers; able to work in an international environment.
• Membership in OIQ (Professional Engineers) is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilidades

• Define concepts and design interiors components and sub-assemblies from tender to first mounting.
• Deliver designs that meet cost targets and schedules.
• Utilize digital mock-up tools (CATIA V5, DMA) and consider weight, acoustics, and train requirements.
• Apply CDS Interiors development procedures and leverage standard solutions.
• Optimize parts design to meet recurring and non-recurring cost targets and respect planning.
• Coordinate with external sub-contractors and internal CAD engineers as needed.
• Ensure deliverable quality and acceptance by internal customers.
