Job summary

AAA Canada seeks a Tooling Account Manager to lead multi-project tooling efforts for aircraft assembly. You will oversee from requirements to delivery, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality meet stringent standards across Canada and the United States.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in engineering or related field with 5+ years in industry, fluency in French, and strong analytical, autonomous and collaborative skills within a fast-paced aeronautics environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage tooling projects for aircraft assembly from requirements to delivery.
• Produce specifications compliant with Airbus, OIQ, and Canadian/US health and safety standards.
• Launch tenders and select suppliers ensuring quality and compliance.
• Maintain quality of technical documents used in tenders.
• Prepare detailed schedules to monitor progress and risks.
• Estimate technical solutions and manage project budgets.
• Collaborate with methods, finance, procurement, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Lead tooling implementation sites and multi-department meetings.
• Present progress to steering committee and be main client contact.

Responsibilities:

• Management of several tooling projects intended for aircraft assembly, from the receipt of requirements to the delivery of tools to the workstation. Pilot a project in its entirety, from receiving basic requirements to delivery. This includes risk management, budget and schedule compliance, and quality assurance.
• Produce specifications compliant with Airbus standards, OIQ standards, and health and safety standards in force in Canada and the United States.
• Launch calls for tenders for projects and select the most suitable suppliers, while guaranteeing the quality and compliance of the services and products provided.
• Guarantee the quality of technical documents used in the context of calls for tenders (such as work standard specifications and their appendices)
• Prepare detailed schedules to monitor project progress, anticipate risks, and ensure objectives are met within set deadlines.
• Estimate technical solutions based on a need and produce estimates.
• Effectively manage financial resources allocated to a project to ensure expenses remain within the planned budget while achieving defined objectives.
• Closely collaborate with methods, finance, and procurement teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
• Interpret, understand, and respect plans and specifications;
• Management of engineering services subcontracting (Plan, coordinate, and schedule)
• Lead tooling implementation sites
• Facilitate multi-departmental meetings and ensure every collaborator is engaged;
• Find solutions to various challenges encountered during the project
• Present project progress reports to the steering committeeAct as the general point of contact for clients during the development project;

Your profile:

• You hold a degree (Bachelor's) in engineering, operations management, or equivalent;
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar position; all combinations of relevant training and experience could be considered;
• You demonstrate good analytical and organizational skills;
• You are recognized for your reliability and autonomy in your work as well as your ability to work in a team;
• You are stimulated by changes in your work;
• You have good adaptability to a high-paced work environment;
• You master French and English is an asset.
