Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a Sales Associate who thrives on helping customers succeed and guiding them to the right solutions for their projects. You will greet, engage, and thank customers, with emphasis on product knowledge and service excellence.

You will proactively assist shoppers across departments, promote services, and ensure stock integrity while maintaining a friendly, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years retail or trade experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Customer Satisfaction.
• Follow Home Depot’s GET Model: Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.
• Actively seek customers throughout the store and escort to appropriate merchandise.
• Ask open-ended questions about customers’ projects to determine needs.
• Promote services such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, Pro Services, etc.
• Discuss options (good, better, best) and suggest related items/services outside of department.
• Educate customers about the whole project.
• Use empowerment program when necessary to satisfy customers.
• Execute daily stock maintenance: all products signed, displayed, and clean.
