Job summary

The Home Depot in Burnaby is seeking a Sales Associate to provide fast, friendly service by actively helping customers find the right solutions for their projects.

You will build product knowledge, greet and assist customers, and promote services while maintaining stock and a clean sales floor in a dynamic retail environment.

Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends is common, and prior retail experience is an asset for succeeding in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of retail or trade experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and thank customers as per GET Model.
• Escort customers to appropriate merchandise across departments.
• Ask open-ended questions to identify customer needs and project scope.
• Promote services such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk and Pro Services.
• Discuss options (good/better/best) and suggest related items outside the department.
• Educate customers about the entire project and relevant product features.
• Ensure daily stock maintenance and keep displays clean and signed.
