Job summary

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Head Tool Crib/Store Operator to oversee the Stores warehouse, distribution of materials, tools and supplies, and to direct the daily throughput of the Stores team. You will train and schedule Store Operators, maintain inventory control and ensure asset management and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating purchase orders, liaising with vendors, ensuring timely fulfillment, and enforcing university safety standards across all tool

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education diploma or equivalent and seven years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of tools and equipment of various trades is required.
• Valid class 5 BC Drivers’ License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the stores warehouse operation and daily throughput of the Stores team.
• Direct, train, coordinate and schedule daily activities for Store Operators.
• Maintain inventory tracking and control for materials, tools and supplies.
• Manage purchase orders, liaise with vendors and ensure timely ordering.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and asset management for tools and equipment.
