Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead to coordinate assembly and fabrication for a small crew. This hands-on role combines supervision with active participation on the shop floor to meet production goals.

You will train new workers, ensure safety procedures, manage materials, and maintain product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a commercial/industrial setting in Canada.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in related field is an asset.
• 1+ years’ experience as a production or construction team lead.
• Knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management.
• Knowledge of inventory control and material ordering.
• Familiarity with AOHS and Employment Standards Code; strong analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure crew is arriving on time, ready and fit for duty at the start of each shift.
• Host a morning meeting with crew to delegate daily work.
• Review job-related issues or safety concerns.
• Ensure workers have proper materials and tools to complete tasks.
• Train new workers on methods and procedures.
• Familiarize self with new equipment and request training as needed.
• Set methods with workers to meet deadlines and maintain high quality.
• Ensure PPE is worn and safety standards are followed.
• Maintain high quality of work and perform quality control.
• Resolve work problems and suggest productivity improvements.
• Adhere to company rules, policies and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management to prevent shortages.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain records.
• Set goals and manage time efficiently.
• Demonstrate leadership, team-building, and supervisory skills.
• Support shop hygiene and 5-S program.
• Follow Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards.
• Organize and clean department; end-of-day cleaning.
• Inspect equipment to ensure good working order.
• Perform other duties as required.
