Responsibilities :
- Lead technical development teams on projects as a Senior SAP Developer.
- Plan and execute FRICEW work according to project plan.
- Assign tasks to the project Development team and supervise their progress and status.
- Provide active support, guidance, and coaching of junior resources to ensure solid performance and growth.
- Coordinate work within the Development team and establish cooperation between technical and functional consultants.
- Interface with all project stakeholders (i.e. Functional Consultants, Project Managers, Leads, Directors, VP’s, clients).
- Participate in project status meetings to present the status and progress of the FRICE objects.
- Mentor project Development team and enforce SAP best practices and Syntax SAP Development standards.
- Perform Project QA to ensure adherence to Development standards and best practices, focusing on high quality standards.
- Work closely with the Competency Lead / Director and report status regularly.
- Possess strong development skills in custom enhancements, interfaces, reports, and transactions according to specifications.
- Create technical documentation and execute and document tests.
- Participate in detailed design, realization, documentation, testing, and support.
- Have a solid understanding of SAP functional processes (preferable).
- Consult on all SAP related technical matters including custom programming, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
- Maintain and assist with the organization and preparation of internal SAP technical demonstration systems to support the sales team as required.
- Stay current with the latest technology advancements from SAP in core competence areas.
- Promote Syntax’s objectives of offering superior customer service and establish long-term client relationships.
Required Skills and Experience :
Must Have :
- Ability to communicate in English and French (Bilingual).
- 10+ years of SAP technical experience.
- Minimum 5 full life cycle implementations of SAP.
- Previous experience leading a Development team on at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations.
- S / 4 HANA experience and understanding of S / 4 HANA concepts and related technologies.
- Solid hands-on ABAP technical knowledge.
- Awareness of evolving SAP technologies and willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
- Experience leading a project team of 5+ members.
- Ability to mentor project team members and advise on SAP best practices and standards.
Nice To Have :
- Exposure to modern SAP technologies like RESTFul ABAP, Flexible Workflows, Adobe Fragmented Forms, Custom Fields and Logic.
- Exposure to Fiori, OData technologies.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience in Public Cloud projects.
- Experience in conversions and upgrades.
