I am looking for an Accounting Manager for a downtown accounting firm. The position is 100% in remote.
Your responsibilities:
- You will oversee the firm's operations, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently and ensuring that profitability targets are met.
- You will establish policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- You will manage a team of accounting and tax professionals, providing inspirational leadership and fostering a collaborative working environment.
- You will supervise tasks, review files, evaluate performance, identify training needs and encourage the team's professional development.
- You'll help clients develop accounting and tax strategies, make informed decisions and solve complex problems.
- You will also be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients and developing new business opportunities, if this interests you.
- You will be responsible for providing technical advice and ensuring compliance with current accounting standards and tax regulations.
- You will keep up to date with legislative changes and industry trends.
-Hold a CPA designation
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-5 years of experience, including 2 years in a similar role
-Experience in a public accounting firm
-Experience in taxation (T1, T2 & T3)
-Proficient with Caseware, Taxprep, and QuickBooks
-Bilingual in French and English (a major asset for communicating with English-speaking clients)
