Job summary

NorthEast Truck & Trailer in Truro, part of Valley Group, seeks a Tire Technician to inspect, diagnose, and service tires for various vehicles. The role requires physical effort, lifting, bending, and standing, with duties across the warehouse and service areas.

Training and safety adherence are emphasized, with opportunities for advancement within a busy Atlantic Canada dealership network. The candidate will perform tire removal, installation, and repair, manage wheel assemblies, and support

Qualifications

• TIA tire training is an asset.
• Must work independently with minimum supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.
• Organizational skills a must; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assists in other areas of the Warehouse and Service Department as necessary.
• Perform tire removal, installation, and repair services safely for all types of vehicles.
• Includes removing wheel assemblies, dismounting tires, repairing, inflating, and installing tires, and reinstalling wheel assemblies.
• Conduct diagnostics, evaluate reparability of damage, and choose and complete proper repair methods.
• Provide a high level of customer service in line with our company goals.
• Follow work orders procedures and communicate with front counter staff the work done and the work required.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and professionalism to represent a positive company image.
• Getting tires ready for recapping; Receiving tires; Completing tire inventory.
• Assisting techs in the shop as needed.

We currently have a full-time position available for aTire Technician at our Truro location.

The Tire Technician will perform inspection, diagnostic, adjustment, service, and repair on all types of vehicles. This job requires physical strength, which includes heavy lifting, frequent bending, working in tight spaces, and the ability to be on one's feet or walk frequently.

Responsibilities and requirements:

Assists in other areas of the Warehouse and Service Department as necessary

Perform tire removal, installation, and repair services safely for all types of vehicles

Includes removing wheel assemblies, dismounting tires, repairing, inflating, and installing repaired, or, replacement tires, and reinstalling wheel assemblies according to standard operating procedures

Conduct diagnostics, evaluate reparability of damage, and choose and complete proper repair methods

9-hour shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime
