Job summary

Compass Group Canada (Beaver) Ltd. is seeking a General Help for a busy, 24/7 hospitality operation in Kingston. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare beverages, assemble food items and ensure food safety and presentation across shifts. You will also help with stocking, cleaning, and maintaining guest areas to deliver excellent service.

Candidate should enjoy teamwork, handle pressure well, and be willing to learn equipment and lifting up to 25 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from guests with friendly hospitality and strong product knowledge.
• Prepare beverages according to standards including lids and pots.
• Prepare food items (bagels, wraps, sandwiches) with proper builds and safety.
• Operate ovens/egg cookers and bake muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, sausages.
• Ensure showcase specifications are met and maintain cleanliness.
• Receive and store inventory and stock FOH daily.
• Maintain a clean restaurant interior, exterior, parking lot, dining room and restrooms.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and work with speed to fulfill orders.
• Handle guest concerns promptly and resolve issues.

How you will Make an Impact:

As General Help you will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving meals, drinks, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.

We are a 24/7 operation and are hiring for a variety of shifts

About You:

• Take orders from guests with exceptional hospitality through friendly attitude, attentive behavior and strong product knowledge.
• Prepare different types of beverages according to standards including marking lids and pots.
• Prepare food items such as bagels, wraps, sandwiches following proper builds as well as maintaining food safety standards.
• Operate ovens/egg cookers and prepare baked products as assigned such as muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, sausages, etc.
• Ensure all showcase specifications are met.
• Cleaning of the production area and back of the house area on a daily basis.
• Receive and Store Inventory in BOH during delivery as well as stock up items in FOH daily.
• Maintaining a clean Restaurant interior, exterior, parking lot, dining room and restrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment each shift.
• Maintains Speed of Service by working efficiently with a sense of urgency to fill orders and meet Guests needs.
• Promptly executes service recovery for any Guest concerns or complaints by making it right with the Guest.

• Be able to learn how to operate various equipment, carry boxes up to 25lbs, working in cold environment as freezer/ fridge.
