SSP Canada at Edmonton International Airport is hiring a Tim Hortons Cashier. This full-time role involves greeting guests, taking and processing orders at the POS, handling payments, and serving a variety of beverages and foods.

Responsibilities include following recipes, checking out orders, and maintaining cleanliness and health standards. Candidates should have at least six months in food service, basic math, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience working in a food service environment.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register and make change.

• Other duties as assigned.

SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants inside the Edmonton International Airport, including: Starbucks, Tim Hortons, The Canadian Brewhouse, Belgian Beer Cafe, Boston Pizza, Tap & Pour, & Upper Crust.

Pay

• $16.00 / hour
• Full-Time Availability

Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Attendant:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve hot, and cold drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills And Other Requirements

• Minimum six months experience working in food service environment
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.
• Brand Certification as required.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.
