SSP Canada operates several restaurants at Victoria International Airport, including Spinnakers on the Fly, Fresh Cup, and Tim Hortons. This role is located in a secure airport environment requiring government documentation for security clearance.

You will greet guests, take orders, process payments, and serve a variety of beverages and foods while following recipes and health standards. You will also complete opening/closing checklists, handle cash, and operate the POS system, with duties that

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout Victoria International Airport,including: Spinnakers on the Fly, Fresh Cup, and Tim Hortons.
This position is located in a secure airport environment and aRestricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance. Documentation will be reviewed during the onboarding process in accordance with Transport Canada regulations. Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Attendant:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.

Skills and Other Requirements

• Preferred six months experience working in food service environment
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.
• Brand Certification as required.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.
