Job summary

SSP Canada is hiring a Tim Hortons Baker at Kelowna International Airport. This full-time position prepares pastries for travelers in a secure airport environment. RAIC and Canadian work eligibility required. You will follow approved recipes, track production, and ensure food safety throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least six months in food service, strong English communication, and the ability to stand for long periods. Benefits are provided for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Six months minimum experience in food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication essential.
• Experience dealing with customer service issues.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and equipment.
• Assist with production records including waste tracking and shortages.
• Ensure proper presentation, quality, portions and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
• Follow daily prep/baking PAR-sheet requirements.
• Perform cleaning tasks per supervisor instructions to meet health standards.
• Meet with manager on arrival to discuss shift setup and depart after duties are completed.

Start your day early as a Tim Hortons Baker at Kelowna International Airport, crafting fresh pastries and baked goods for travelers from around the world!This position is located in a secure airport environment and aRestricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance. Documentation will be reviewed during the onboarding process in accordance with Transport Canada regulations. • Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment.
• Assist with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages and inform supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Follow and complete all items required as listed on daily prep/baking PAR-sheet.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Meet with manager upon arrival to discuss shift set-up, and check out with manager before leaving to ensure duties are completed.

Skills & Other Requirements

• Minimum six months experience working in food service environment is essential.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication is essential. Able to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.
