SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants inside the Ottawa International Airport. As a Baker, you will craft baked goods with precision in a fast-paced kitchen and ensure product quality.

The role requires one year in food service, ability to read and follow recipes, and to obtain Transport Canada security clearance to work in a secure airport environment. We offer dental, vision, prescription, and medical benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a food service environment is essential.
• High school diploma is preferred.
• Previous Tim Horton's experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow recipes.
• Attention to detail to ensure product quality.
• Verbal and written English communication is essential to interact with guests and take orders.
• Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils in work area.
• Handle, store, and rotate products properly with safety regulations, including labeling and storage of ingredients.
• Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities as a Baker withSSP Canada:

• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly and with all safety regulations in mind, including labelling and storage of all ingredients during preparation and service.
• Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Check to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

Skills & Other Requirements:

• One year experience working in food service environment is essential.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous experience working in a Tim Horton's is an asset.
• Ability to follow recipes.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality of products.
• Verbal and written communication is essential. Able to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
