Explore Edmonton Corporation is seeking a Ticketing Specialist to provide day-to-day support for ticketing, sales, customer service, and reporting for Explore Edmonton events.

The role supports accurate ticket setup and fulfillment, responds to customer and partner inquiries, assists with group and partner sales activities, maintains ticketing and customer data, and prepares regular sales and operational reports.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to ticketing questions with timely, professional service.
  • Resolve routine order, account, access, delivery and ticket-use issues, escalations as needed.
  • Support guest recovery and event-time ticketing operations, including fulfillment and troubleshooting.
  • Process ticket orders and support group sales, partner offers, fundraising, corporate, and other programs.
  • Maintain accurate customer, account, sales and follow-up records.
  • Set up, maintain, test and review ticketed events, products, pricing, offers, access codes and inventory.
  • Provide first-level system support to internal users and escalate as required.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc sales, customer, operational, reconciliation and post-event reports.
  • Support lead follow-up, renewals, retention, outreach and tracking of sales opportunities.

About the Position

The Ticketing Specialist provides day-to-day support for ticketing, sales, customer service, reporting, and ticketing systems for Explore Edmonton events. The role supports accurate ticket setup and fulfillment, responds to customer and partner inquiries, assists with group and partner sales activities, maintains ticketing and customer data, and prepares regular sales and operational reports. Working closely with the Ticketing & Audience Development team and internal event teams, the Specialist helps ensure ticket products are available and accurate, customer issues are resolved in a timely manner, and reliable information is available to support sales and event decisions.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle questions and service issues professionally and calmly.
  • A sales-focused mindset and the ability to follow up on leads, build customer relationships, and support sales targets.
  • Experience working with ticketing, CRM, database, or similar transactional systems.
  • Strong data-entry and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and event-driven deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills, including knowing when to resolve an issue and when to elevate it.
  • Clear communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to handle confidential customer, sales, and financial information responsibly.
  • Flexibility to support event operations and changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
What you’ll do

  • Support guest recovery and event‑time ticketing operations, including ticket fulfillment and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain accurate customer, account, sales, and follow‑up records throughout the sales cycle.
  • Set up, maintain, test, and review ticketed events, products, pricing, offers, access codes, inventory, and customer records.
  • Provide first‑level system support to internal users and elevate technical issues when required.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc sales, customer, operational, reconciliation, and post‑event reports.
  • Support lead follow‑up, renewals, retention, outreach, and tracking of sales opportunities.
  • Maintain workback schedules, procedures, training materials, shared files, and other records that support event readiness.
