Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario seeks a Validation Attendant for the winter season. You will greet guests, verify access products and guide visitors around lift areas with a focus on safety and information.

The role requires outdoor work, strong customer service and the ability to work 2–3 shifts per week, with weekend availability. Competitive hourly pay is offered for a seasonal period from November to March.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in cold weather.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and handle challenging situations.
• Energetic, friendly, cheerful demeanor.
• Ski/Snowboard knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the Ski Lift Line and verify access products.
• Check guest passes at RFID gates and lift lines.
• Engage with guests, explain attractions and restrictions and age requirements.
• Help move and support flow at validation pinch points.
• Share passion for Blue Mountain and orient guests to the Mountain.
• Provide assistance for guests who may need help with passes scanned.
• Redirect guests to Guest Services for incorrect tickets or passes.

Hourly rate of $19.00

Start date - November 21, 2026 to March 21, 2027:

• Part-Time: 2-3 shifts per week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Shift lengths: 4.5 or 6 hours
• Shifts anywhere from 9:00am to 8:00pm; weekend and holiday work required
  

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Validation Attendant greets guests at the Ski Lift Line to ensure they are utilizing the correct access product such as seasons passes or lift tickets and educating the guest about thesupport and guidance correct access products

• Checking guest's access passes at lift lines and other access locations that use RFID gates and scanners
• Interacting with guests - engaging, approaching, introducing yourself and initiating conversation. Explaining each attraction and communicating the individual restrictions and age requirements
• Helping to move and support flow of guests at specific validation pinch points
• Sharing passion and knowledge of Blue Mountain and helping orient guests to the Mountain
• Providing assistance for guests who may need support having their passes scanned
• Redirecting guests to Guest Services if they have the incorrect ticket or pass.
