Thompson Community Mobilization Program Coordinator

Pay: $25.78 - $27.87/hr

Job-Type: Full-time

Shift and Schedule: Daytime, Weekdays

Location: Thompson RCMP Detachment

Position Reports to: Chairperson of Thompson Community Mobilization Steering Committee.

Thompson Community Mobilization supports youth and adults in Thompson through a consent based, culturally inclusive and client-centered wraparound model. We are looking for a dynamic individual with diverse skills to fill the position of Program Coordinator.

This position will provide case management for youth and adults with complex needs who may have involvement in the Justice system. This will be a Full-Time position (37.5 hrs/wk.) working with individuals in the Thompson area.

Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in Social Work, Social Sciences or Applied Counselling or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with multi-agency initiatives, experience working with individuals with complex needs, ability to work with diverse groups, have a collaborative approach and experience with administrative tasks and report writing will be considered an asset.

Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.

The successful candidate will also be required to undergo an enhanced Law Enforcement security screening and the successful completion of this is necessary for employment.

The position is based in Thompson during daytime hours, however occasional travel is necessary. A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
