Machine Operator – Thin Film Coating Department at Raytheon ELCAN, located in Midland, Ontario. The role involves operating vacuum coating machines, inspecting and cleaning optical components, preparing coating chambers, performing metrology measurements, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum coating machines for the application of single, multi‑layer coatings.
• Inspect and clean optical components.
• Prepare, clean and load coating chambers.
• Perform metrology measurements such as transmission, reflection, and ellipsometry.
• Collaborate with engineering, research & development teams.
• Use computer skills including Product Center, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Maintain good hand dexterity and organized work habits.
• Share commitment to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post‑secondary education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing).
