Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Mississauga is seeking a Thermofluids Modelling Student to start January 2027. You will support global projects using CFD and numerical methods to analyze fluid flow and heat transfer in metals, energy, and infrastructure contexts.

You will collaborate with engineers, apply first-principles approaches, and develop numerical tools while gaining hands-on industry experience in a dynamic internship program.

Qualifications

• Currently in 3rd or 4th year, pursuing a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil/Environmental Engineering with core courses in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
• Desirable proficiency with CFD software (Ansys Fluent, STAR-CCM+ or equivalent).
• Desirable experience with 1-D flow network tools (Flownex, Arrow).
• Proficiency in scientific programming (Matlab, C++, Python).

Responsibilities

• Use CFD and numerical methods to solve thermofluids problems across industries.
• Work independently and in teams to contribute to projects.
• Communicate results through reports and presentations to engineering teams and clients.
• Contribute to design decisions and internal tool development.
