Brunel in Calgary is seeking an experienced Thermal Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to guide a design team focused on advanced thermal management and Direct Liquid Cooling technologies. You will drive technical leadership, set priorities, and ensure engineering excellence from concept through mass production.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of thermal design and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with GD&T, FEA, DFM/DFMEA, PLM, and thermal simulation and testing.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through mass production.
• Experience designing complex mechanical components and assemblies.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Strong cross-functional communication across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, customers, and suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical design process for Direct Liquid Cooling products, ensuring workflows support quality, innovation, and project delivery.
• Manage team workload, priorities, and task delegation across development activities.
• Coach and develop engineers, supporting technical growth and performance.
• Provide technical direction for mechanical design, thermal design, simulation, testing, and validation.
• Maintain and improve engineering design standards, processes, and team workflows.
• Lead products through the full development lifecycle, including concept, prototyping, verification, validation, and mass production transfer.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other teams to ensure alignment.
• Define responsibilities, decision boundaries, and escalation paths across cross-functional teams.
• Work with customers, industry partners, consultants, and suppliers to support decisions and continuous improvement.
• Ensure Engineering owns design standards and development processes.
• Oversee design and development of complex mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support departmental planning and budget management.
