Job summary

Carewest at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre in Calgary is seeking a Regular Full-Time Therapy Assistant to support physiotherapy services.

You will work under the direction of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide targeted therapeutic programming aimed at helping clients reach their discharge goals. The role emphasizes teamwork, contributing to clients' safety and functional independence, with typical day shift hours 07:00–15:15 and a 77.50 FTE allocation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
• Experience with computers preferred.
• Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the team Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic programming to clients aimed at helping them reach their discharge goals.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to improve client quality of life and maximize safe, functional independence.
• Perform other related duties as required.
