Job summary

Carewest Innovative Health Care at Calgary's Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre is seeking a Casual Therapy Assistant to support the therapy team. You will implement therapeutic programming under supervision to help clients achieve discharge goals and maximize independence.

Working with Physical and Occupational Therapists, you will contribute to quality of life and deliver interventions that promote safety and functional abilities; other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
• Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered.
• Experience with computers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic programming to clients focused on discharge goals.
• Contribute to client quality of life by providing interventions to maximize safe, functional independence.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Position Summary

Responsible for working under the direction of the team Physical and/or Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic programming to clients focused on helping them to achieve their discharge goals. This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client's quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required.
