Job summary

Closing the Gap Healthcare is hiring a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) for our Mississauga Matheson Clinic. The PTA will work under a Registered Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to provide health teaching and supervise exercise programs.

Strengths include capability to work independently and in a team, and ability to build relationships with clients and families. A reliable vehicle and eligibility to work in Canada are required.

Qualifications

• Graduates from a recognized physiotherapy program or kinesiology is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Build relationships with clients and families/caregivers.
• Access to a reliable vehicle and Canadian Driver’s license is a must.
• Eligible to work in Canada is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams under supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.

Therapy Assistant
Location: Mississauga (Matheson Clinic)

Required availability: Tuesday and Thursday - 8:00 AM -3:00 PM

We are looking for a self-motivated Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. Our PTA will be working under a registered Physiotherapist to provide health teaching, and exercise programs. A successful PTA would be able to administer care plans for Physiotherapists.

If you are a new Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant program graduate, our team provides comprehensive exposure to learning and development opportunities.

What you will be doing:

• You will be working with our physiotherapy and occupational therapy team under the supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
• Provide health teaching and perform exercise programs with clients.
