Hull Services in Calgary is seeking a temporary full-time School Caretaker for the William Roper Hull School program. The role runs 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with additional hours during school operations as needed.

The position ends June 2027 with a possibility of permanency. The School Caretaker will work closely with the maintenance department to keep the school facility clean and safe, perform basic repairs, coordinate schedules, and supervise the School Housekeeper.

Formación

• Two to three years of custodial experience, preferably in therapeutic campus environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene standards, cleaning supplies and methods.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintenance experience including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work is an asset.
• Police Information Check is required (or in progress) prior to employment.
• Child Intervention Record Check is required (or in progress) prior to employment.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and ability to drive Agency vehicles preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and maintain efficient schedules and routines to ensure a clean, healthy environment for students and staff.
• The cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, etc., of all classrooms, hallways, washrooms, shops and administrative areas on a daily basis.
• Regularly scheduled cleaning and maintenance of floors, carpets, glass, and furniture.
• Attend to the daily security of the school building.
• Coordinate the effective operation of the building mechanical systems and electrical systems when needed.
• Coordinate and participate with the agency’s maintenance department regarding activities such as landscape and snow removal and building repairs.
• Facilitate the work of program leadership regarding movement of furniture and equipment; shipping/receiving; requisition and maintaining cleaning supplies.
• Directly schedule and supervise the work of the School Housekeeper; maintain relationships with staff and maintenance personnel.
• Assist maintenance department in the execution of their duties.
• Other related duties as assigned by program leadership.
