The Caretaker at HRCE supports the Operations Services Department in Halifax, ensuring the building is clean, safe, and well‑maintained. You will supervise assigned staff, manage daily operations for the designated facility, and act with professionalism to uphold quality, security, and a welcoming environment for students and staff.

This role requires a high school diploma, custodial experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; SAP knowledge is an asset.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent as per NSUPE.
• Minimum two years custodial experience or three years janitorial experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs for cleaning duties.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Experience with routine and preventative maintenance.
• Able to work day, evening and night shifts.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and supervise daily operations of the facility.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions of the building.
• Oversee assigned staff and delegate tasks.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with Building Management Supervisor.
