Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve beverages with friendly, courteous service in a timely manner. The role requires ProServe certification, weekends/evenings, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include bar setup, stock management, drink preparation, portion control, and adherence to safety policies while building relationships with guests.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong desire and ability to delight and accommodate guests.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work in high pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• ProServe certification required.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned bars and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Take and/or process orders for drinks; mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control.
• Serve beverages responsibly. Request identification and adhere to all unit and company alcohol compliance policies.
• Communicate and anticipate product needs and shortages.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete and submit daily inventory counts.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area as per directed standard.
• Comply to all Health and Safety Policies and procedures.
• Build relationships with guests.
• Adhere to uniform standards and job specific standard operation procedures.
