Job summary

The Associate Producer role at Theatre Prospero in Edmonton supports the Artistic Director in planning the 2019/20 & 2020/21 seasons. Tasks include budgeting, funding research, grant writing, artist recruitment and training, and coordinating school programs, productions, and tours.

Qualifications

• Ideal for someone with coursework in Theatre Production.
• Experience planning artistic seasons or productions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create a timeline and budget for the season.
• Research funding opportunities and write grant applications.
• Plan school artists in residence programs, productions, and tours.
• Create marketing materials and recruit/train artists.
• Oversee training, delegation and management of teams assigned to tasks.
• Weekly supervision with the Artistic Director during the 8-week period.
