We’re looking for an Assistant Manager for our Shoe Co. banner at Manning Centre to put their best foot forward.

As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Store Manager and help lead an inclusive store environment that connects with diverse customers. Your responsibilities include coaching the team to meet store goals, managing sales, web orders, recruiting, performance, training, and development. Success in this role depends on your problem-solving skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, team leadership, collaboration, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize store results by creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Model a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity to foster customer loyalty.
  • Maintain operational excellence by balancing policies, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and train passionate shoe enthusiasts.
  • Achieve company objectives and enhance the Shoe Co. brand by embodying our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/Humility.
  • Develop and implement agile business plans to meet targets.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and change within the store and district.
  • Maintain open communication with the Store Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including email, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delivering a compelling customer experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive retail supervisory experience.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
