Job summary

The Good Kitchen in Hamilton, Ontario is hiring a friendly hospitality associate to greet customers, take food orders, and prepare and serve meals with speed and care in a busy, customer‑facing environment. You will handle cash, debit, and credit transactions via POS, ensure accurate item codes and PLU lookups, and maintain clean, safe work areas while following all food safety protocols and SOPs.

Evening, weekend, and daytime shifts are available; a Food Handler's Certificate is an asset and

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and directions.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and day shifts.
• Food safety awareness and basic hygiene practices.
• Experience handling cash and transactions is a plus.

Job description

Your day-to-day:

You are the face of The Good Kitchen. You will be tasked with greeting customers, taking food orders, and preparing and serving the orders in a friendly and timely manner. You will also be tasked with handling any food related inquiries in a pleasant and knowledgeable way.

Other tasks and duties may include:

• Ensure proper food handling and storage.
• Read and follow directions and recipes
• Perform opening and/or closing duties
• Perform cash, debit and credit transactions using a POS.
• Ensure accuracy with non-scan item codes and PLU's
• Ensure eatery conditions are consistently upheld to established standards.
• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standards Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
