Job summary

Goodness-Me in Hamilton, Ontario is hiring a bakery assistant to produce baked goods, doughs and mixes daily, take and prepare food orders, and serve customers with a friendly, timely approach. You will handle inquiries in a knowledgeable manner while maintaining product quality and store presentation.

Responsibilities include following production schedules, stocking fridge and shelves, baking cookies, muffins, pies and scones as needed, rotating stock, and processing payments at the POS.

Qualifications

Job description

Your day-to-day:

You will be tasked with producing appropriate baked goods, doughs and mixes on a daily basis as well as taking food orders, and preparing and serving the orders in a friendly and timely manner. You will also be tasked with handling any food related inquiries in a pleasant and knowledgeable way.

Other tasks and duties may include:

• Ensure proper food handling and storage.
• Follow production schedules and must maintain fridges, shelves and store floor well stocked with product
• Kitchen preparation for baking cookies and muffins daily; Baking Pies and Scones as needed
• Produce and work with doughs and make mixes for product
• Replace used stock, rotate current stock, and ensure satisfactory inventory levels
• Perform cash, debit and credit transactions using a POS.

• Ensure eatery conditions are consistently upheld to established standards.
• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standards Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
