Job summary

Goodness-Me in Hamilton, Ontario is hiring a friendly front-counter associate to greet customers, process orders, and help keep the Good Kitchen area running smoothly.

You will be the first and last touchpoint for guests, handle transactions, answer menu questions, prepare simple items, and ensure accuracy and presentation of both food and service. This is a fast-paced customer-facing role with morning and closing shifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Retail or food service familiarity is an asset.
• Able to work morning and closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions using the POS system.
• Scan items and verify price accuracy.
• Take and prepare orders at the Good Kitchen counter.
• Assist customers with menu questions and upsell products.
• Package and present prepared foods neatly.
• Keep checkout and Good Kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Handle returns and exchanges professionally.

Your day-to-day:

You will be one of the first and last points of contact for customers entering and exiting the store, as well as customers visiting our Good Kitchen front counter. Your role is to be friendly, helpful, and efficient, ensuring that each customer has a positive and memorable experience.

Other tasks and duties you may perform include:

• Manage transactions with customers using our POS system.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Take and prepare orders at the Good Kitchen front counter, including fresh food and beverage items.
• Assist customers with menu questions and provide product recommendations.
• Package and hand off prepared foods while ensuring quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout and Good Kitchen counter areas.
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Resolve customer concerns and provide helpful information about products and services.
