Job summary

Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) is seeking a Client Support Worker for Temporary Foreign Workers to support the settlement, integration, and well-being of migrant workers and their families in Banff, Canmore, and the Bow Valley. Duties include assessments, action planning, advocacy, and information sessions.

Successful candidates will facilitate support services, stay current on immigration policies, and build partnerships with local organizations to promote social inclusion in Bow

Responsibilities

• Facilitate initial assessments and one-on-one sessions with foreign workers and identify immediate needs.
• Develop personalized action plans for each client, provide relevant services, including information sessions (about rights and responsibilities), settlement support, system navigation, referrals and emergency support.
• Advocate on behalf of clients with government, external organizations, public systems, and the broader community.
• Stay up to date with changes in immigration policies and procedures and disseminate relevant and accurate information to clients and colleagues.
• Design an outreach plan, organize and participate in community events and activities to connect with TFWs and employers to promote social inclusion in Bow Valley areas.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations and businesses to enhance the network of support for TFWs.
• Transcribe and enter client information into the database for accurate recordkeeping, administer client feedback surveys, and submit regular reports on program activities and deliverables.
