Job summary

Autism Services in Regina is seeking a Test Technician to perform, measure, and record electrical test results while building and wiring control panels and performing wiring checks.

You will work in the Test Department to ensure transformers meet quality and safety standards prior to shipment, with opportunities to maintain equipment and perform oil sampling tests in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education as an Electrician, or equivalent.
  • Journeyperson Electrician is an asset.
  • 2 years of industrial experience with basic knowledge of transformers.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical tests according to requirements.
  • Record and verify test results and enter data into systems.
  • Build, install, and wire control panels and perform wiring checks.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance.

Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU

As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing, measuring, and recording test results according to specified requirements. You will build, install, and wire electrical control panels, perform wiring checks, conduct equipment maintenance, and complete oil sampling procedures. Working as part of the Test Department, you will play a key role in ensuring PTI transformers meet quality, safety, and customer specifications prior to shipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Perform electrical and mechanical tests according to specified requirements using safe work practices.
  • Record and verify test results on appropriate documentation and enter data into company systems.
  • Build, install, and wire electrical control panels and perform wiring checks.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance.
  • Complete oil sampling tests.
  • Performing other duties as allocated.
WHAT IT TAKES

  • Journeyperson Electrician is a strong asset.
  • 2 years of industrial experience with basic knowledge of transformers.
