Job summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking highly motivated Test Engineers to design, develop, and maintain automated test equipment for defense systems. Role includes developing automated test software with LabVIEW, creating electronic drawings in OrCad, and ensuring high-quality test methodologies.

Candidates must obtain Canadian security clearance; the job requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and night shift production support to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system specifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining test automation using LabVIEW.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance for Canadian Controlled Goods projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test equipment.
• Develop and maintain automated test software using LabVIEW and related tools.
• Design and develop electronic drawings using OrCad.
• Create detailed test plans, procedures, and methodologies to verify product specifications.
• Review test specifications for completeness and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test equipment, software, and test methodologies.
• Analyze test data and production yields to identify trends and root causes.
• Recommend and implement improvements to test equipment and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
• Collaborate with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and quality.
• Participate in product design reviews and provide input on Design for Test and Design for Manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, military specifications, and QA procedures.
