MGM Electric Motors North America is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to hunt new business and grow our cross-border territory across Canada and the United States. You will engage engineers and buyers, understand applications, and propose electromechanical solutions, driving growth beyond existing accounts.
You will travel roughly 50% of the time, splitting between regional visits near Vaudreuil and air travel to broader Canada and US markets, with regular cross-border work and collaboration
Position: Territory Sales Manager, Outside Sales
Territory: Canada and the United States (specific provinces and states to be finalized)
Reports to: Regional Sales Director, MGM North America
Travel: About 50% of working time, split roughly evenly between regional driving and air travel
Employment type: Full time, individual contributor role with no direct reports
MGM Electric Motors is the North American arm of M.G.M. Motori Elettrici S.p.A., a family owned Italian manufacturer of brake motors and electromechanical drive solutions founded in 1947. With operations in Troy, Michigan and Vaudreuil, Quebec, MGM North America supports OEMs and end users across lifting, hoisting, crane and hoist, marine, theatrical rigging, and industrial motion control applications. As the business keeps growing across Canada and the United States, we are building out our outside sales team with people who like to hunt for new business as much as they like taking care of the accounts they already have.
We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager who thinks like a hunter. This is not an account maintenance role sitting behind a desk. You will spend most of your time in the field, opening new accounts, building relationships with engineers and buyers, and growing the business we already have across a territory that spans Canada and the United States. You will sell in a consultative way: understand the application first, then propose the right electromechanical solution, rather than pushing a catalog part number on price alone.
This role travels about 50% of the time. Roughly half of that travel is regional, visiting customers within a few hours of the Vaudreuil base by car. The other half is air travel to reach customers and prospects across the broader Canada and US territory. Because the territory spans both countries, this role requires regular cross border travel.
MGM Electric Motors North America is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
