Job summary

Brandt is seeking a sales professional to drive growth in heavy equipment across Canada. You will create accounts, expand market share, and build a robust pipeline while collaborating with Parts, Service, and Finance to deliver integrated solutions.

Strong communication and negotiation are essential, and travel with a valid license/passport is expected. The role requires 3-5 years in construction/heavy equipment sales, bilingual English/French is a plus, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment, compact construction equipment, including skid steers, track loaders, mini excavators, and wheel loaders.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • New account creation, develop, and execute territory sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Promote Brandt's compact construction equipment line to existing and potential customers to strengthen brand presence and increase sales.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service, and Finance departments to provide integrated solutions that meet customer needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.
