Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Territory Manager to grow sales and rental revenue for New and Used Wholegoods within a defined area. You will identify opportunities, maintain customer relationships, and report activity daily to Brandt.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales related to heavy equipment is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
• Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create new accounts and develop existing ones.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers within the area of responsibility.
• Achieve sales targets as set by Brandt.
• Develop a comprehensive sales pipeline of opportunities.
• Promote and sell New/Used Wholegoods and rental options.
• Keep records of sales activities, customer interactions, and quotations.

Job description

This position is vital in the creation, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used Construction & Forestry equipment within their designated AOR, be aware and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report back to the Company on activity/transaction details on a day to day basis. The TM will also identify other business opportunities within the AOR that may be served by other areas of Brandt - Parts & Service, Sales of other products represented or manufactured by Brandt (ex: On Highway trucks & trailers, Agricultural equipment, etc).

What You Will Be Responsible For

• New account creation and development.
• Build andmaintainstrong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
• Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
• Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
• Promote & sell all types of New &UsedWholegoodsassigned to role.
• Promote rental and rental purchase of New and UsedWholegoods.
• Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
• Deliver continuousProspectingactivity and development ofnew accounts.
• Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
• Activelyparticipatein and promote Brandt during industry events asrequired.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
• Submit lost sales reports ona timelybasis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales andsubmittedon a weekly basis to the manager. These area mustto receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.

What We Look For

• Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset.

• Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
• Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver abstract and valid passport are required.
• Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
